The civil strife in Angola has done wonders for the fishing, with the total lack of any fishing pressure for a very prolonged period, and this has been the story on a river on the southern border with Namibia. Here the Tigerfish and Nembwe have grown to astounding sizes, and the ‘sight’ fishing is probably some of the best in Africa for these species.

A new lodge on the river has just opened with some amazing tales coming down from the early visiting anglers. With the water clarity being the greatest attribute, translating into one of the premier fly fishing venues for large Tigerfish.

Tours start from anywhere in Namibia, and are usually one week long.

Best seasons are linked again to the rainy season, April to November or December.
